The issue of domain boundaries is super interesting, but also a potential rabbithole of epic proportions I think! Furthermore, I'm not sure we should take the reader too close to DDD stuff - after all, the scope of a conceptual model can also be something else than a clearly bounded domain. (Though, even in that case, understanding which domains you are touching and how they are delineated is going to be important.)
At the moment my Blue Book thoughts are Scope = Domain, but then when I move straight to the scope being a single business event, “customer places order” and not all events in the Sales Domain (so no “customer pays for order”) then it break that.
